Job posting on the MyJobGroup network is one in a million!
MyJobGroup.co.uk, the UK’s fastest growing network of local jobsites, recorded another significant milestone this month with the 1,000,000th job posting to their sites.
When Colette Mallabourn from The Workpoint North West posted a vacancy for a Lettings Manager to the MyBlackburnJobs.co.uk site on Friday 12th of September, little did she know that she had posted the millionth job onto the network.
On hearing the good news, Colette was shocked and pleased, not least because she has been sent a bottle of champagne by Glenn Chapman, Managing Director of MyJobGroup, to mark the occasion.
Colette said: “I am delighted to have placed the 1,000,000th advert with MyJobGroup. Recruitment of key personnel is critical to the success of every business and this service enables us to bring workers and employers together effectively and efficiently”.
MyJobGroup.co.uk launched their first jobsite, MySheffieldJobs.co.uk, in 2005 and has rapidly expanded to over 45 similar local sites across the UK. Recently, MyJobGroup.co.uk also acquired the LocalJobsGroup.co.uk network of jobsites across the South East.
Glenn Chapman said of the millionth job post: “This shows how far our jobsites have come in such a short space of time and how popular we are with recruiters throughout the country.
“The millionth job posting on our sites is a significant milestone that I am delighted with, but we’re not resting on our laurels. We are currently working on plans to further enhance the sites for both candidates and recruiters and are already working up to our next million!”
Colette added: “We wish MyJobGroup every success in the future and we at The Workpoint North West look forward to sharing in that success”.

MyJobGroup expands into South East with acquisition of LocalJobsGroup.co.uk websites
LocalJobsGroup.co.uk, the Merton-based online recruitment website network, have been acquired by MyJobGroup.co.uk, the UK's fastest growing network of local jobsites.
The purchase of LocalJobsGroup more than doubles the number of local job board websites under the MyJobGroup umbrella and provides a foothold in the South East recruitment markets with existing sites which include LondonLocalJobs.co.uk, EssexLocalJobs.co.uk and SurreyLocalJobs.co.uk - amongst others.
Glenn Chapman, Managing Director of MyJobGroup commented: "This is an exciting acquisition for MyJobGroup that brings us into the lucrative South East recruitment market. With over forty fully interactive jobsites dedicated to the South East, the deal sees great synergy with the successful MyJobGroup business model which focuses on a local solution to recruitment requirements. Both existing clients of MyJobGroup and new clients from LocalJobsGroup in the South East are set to benefit greatly from our expanded online recruitment network."
He continued: "Additionally, local jobseekers will see a huge advantage in being backed by a major player within online recruitment. We are already working hard on increasing the number of quality vacancies on the sites and looking at ways we can improve the site based on our experiences within the market."
Since the launch of the inaugural local job board in 2005, MyJobGroup have aggressively expanded across the whole of the UK, launching over 45 of their successful sites in cities and towns including Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, Cardiff, Edinburgh and more. However, today's acquisition of LocalJobsGroup is the company's first steps into the established South East online recruitment market. Continuously growing, MyJobGroup currently employ 97 people across eight offices in the UK including their head office in Sheffield.
